AutoIT Rules! Your Log in Dashboard.

If you have not heard of it till now, hear it from me. All my credits go to freeware tool AutoIT! Best peace of software ever made. www.autoitscript.com for details. I have been using this for a few months now and have automated so much stuff and created so much WOW factor at my workplace that you won't beleive it.

Not even sure where to start. I'm going to start making available free automation scripts to public to try. AutoIT lets you save scripts as EXE but I won't post EXE files because it is not a good practice in general and it is not good to trust EXE files from the net.

However to use my scripts you have to download the tool first and then run it using its interpreter.

Actually the first thing about automation is to be creative in your imagination as to what you want to automate. You probably don't realize how many clicks and keystrokes a day you do repatedly that you can save and have fun by watching the script do the task for you while you sip on your coffee (or diet soda).

Here are some things:

Assuming you have a computer/laptop that you keep locked and no one else uses it, you can automate several log in sessions - that you don't have to remember username/password information or even URL information.

Examples, imagine a dashboard created with autoit to do the following:
1. Log in to your gmail or yahoo emails.
2. Check your bank balance.
3. Check your online portfolio.
4. Your last payroll statement.
5. Your benefits provider.
6. Your netflix account.
7. Your pizza order.
8. The list goes on....

Of course, you'll have a master key/password programmed for your dashboard that even if the computer is lost or stolen, no one can run that program.

This is just one of several examples that I'm going to provide in the upcoming blogs.
